| The safest Transformer

The Resin used to cover the winding is fire retarded. |

the Dry Type Cast Resin Transformers under technical
agreement with Starkstrom Geratebau GmbH (SGB),
Germany since 1989. |
| Ekarat Dry Type
Cast Resin Transformers were widely accepted from
customers from Government and Private sectors for
about 20 years. |
| The Highlight of
the Dry Type Cast Resin Transformers are as follow: |
High Voltage winding
 The
copper windings are encapsulated with Class F Insulation
material of Fiber Glass Reinforced Resin. The expansion
coefficient of the material is very good. The Coil
winding will not crack under high temperature.
The Fiber Glass in the Resin will give mechanical
strength to the winding.
The Liquid Resin preparation
and casting process was done under vacuum with technical
knowledge of SGB. To make sure that the HV winding
will be Void-Free.
Copper winding is
also a special technical knowledge of SGB.
The Cooling-air ducts are placed in the HV winding
to cool the winding during operation. |
Low Voltage winding
 Copper
Foil and "Prepreg" (class F) insulation
material were used to make the LV winding. Copper
Foil winding will endure the surge and the short
circuit current. The winding will balance the force
that would damage the Transformer. The Foil winding
is the best to endure
the Short circuit force.
"Prepreg"
insulation material is
a material that have high endurance to give strength
to the winding. It also helps to protect the winding
from moisture. The winding was tested with Saltwater
Test, which the winding was immersed in salted water
for 24 hours.
The LV winding will
be covered with a Resin Sheet and heated to give
strength in the Radial Direction. Every LV winding
will go through Testing Press in the Production
process to make sure 100% of quality. |
